New to Gracie Barra Southlake? Here are the answers families ask us most.
Yes. Your first class is completely free, with no commitment and no pressure. It's a full class - not a watered-down intro - so you can experience exactly what training with us is like before you decide anything.
Just wear comfortable athletic clothing - a t-shirt and shorts or leggings work great. You don't need a gi (uniform) for your first class; we'll lend you one if needed. Come barefoot or bring flip-flops for walking off the mat.
We teach all ages, from 6 months old through adults. Our kids program is divided by age and development: Baby Champions (6 months–3 years), Tiny Champions (3–5), and Little Champions 1 & 2 (5–12). Teens and adults train in our Fundamentals, Advanced, and Women's programs.
None at all. The vast majority of our students walk in with zero martial-arts background. Our Fundamentals program is built specifically for beginners, and every class is led by certified black belts who will guide you step by step.
We're at 2225 W Southlake Blvd, Suite 435, Southlake, TX 76092, right on West Southlake Boulevard. There's free parking available directly outside the academy.
Yes. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training at Gracie Barra Southlake can qualify for high school PE credit for eligible students. Reach out and we'll walk you through how it works and what's needed.
Pricing depends on the program and how often you'd like to train, and we have options for individuals and families. The best next step is a free class - afterward we'll go over the membership options that fit your goals. Call us at (817) 913-1201 and we're happy to talk it through.
